We are the first line of care for all general medical conditions & requirements.
We provide Combined Mother & Infant, antenatal (before birth) and postnatal (after birth) care, under the combined care scheme with the hospital. Combined care is offered in conjunction with our practice nurse who is a trained midwife.
We provide 24 hour blood pressure monitoring and electrocardiograms (ECGs) and monitoring of Lipids (Cholestrol).
The surgery is registered with Cervical Check, the National Cervical screening programme, which provides free smear tests for women aged 25 years to 60 years.
Both Doctors and Nurses are dedicated to maximising the health of our diabetic patients. We encourage regular review for diabetic patients for the purposes of health promotion, and screening for Diabetic complications. We provide monitoring and spirometry (breathing testing) for chronic lung diseases.
Cryosurgery (also called cryotherapy) is the use of extreme cold produced by liquid nitrogen to treat a variety of skin conditions, including plantar warts, verrucae, warts and various benign skin lesions such as actinic keratosis.
Our doctors can discuss a wide range of contraceptive options which are available to women and men. These include contraceptive pills, injections, implants (see Implanon), intra-uterine devices (see Mirena coil), other devices (Evra Patch), and permanent procedures (such as vasectomy and female sterilization).
Our Doctors has(ve) have a moral and professional responsibility to provide a medicolegal reports upon request from the patient’s solicitor. We provide assistance sso the patient can get the benefits to which he/she may be entitled.
The principal role of Occupational Health is the provision of health advice to organisations and individuals to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety at work can be achieved and maintained. Our doctors are experienced and have a wide knowledge of occupational medicine.
We offer a phlebotomy service for an extensive range of blood tests. These include; Full blood count Liver function Kidney function. Glucose (test for diabetes, requires fasting for 14 hours prior to test, water may be taken). Cholesterol (requires fasting for 14 hours prior to test, water may be taken.
Seasonal flu vaccinations and pneumococcal vaccinations are recommended by the World Health Organisation for those aged over 65 years and those in at-risk groups such as patients with certain chronic diseases, respiratory disease, diabetes mellitus, carers and healthcare workers. We also provide a travel vaccine service for those travelling for business or pleasure.
A specialised medical treatment which requires a blood tests and physical examinations. Prior appointment should be set with us to set the schedule when blood tests will be conducted. It is important to note that patient need to fast for 14-hours prior to schedule tests.
We provide safe and effective way of immunising babies and children against certain diseases. Our experienced nurse administers all immunisations under a Doctor’s expert supervision.
